Solar-Powered Radios
In the early years of Radio 4VEH ministry, very few people in Haiti had radios to listen to the radio programs. Our engineers built and distributed fix-tuned radio sets in key community locations, but these bulky radios needed batteries replaced frequently. As technologies advanced, so have our tools for ministry. Since 1996, more than 60,000 solar-powered radios, fix-tuned to Radio 4VEH, have been given out to households.

The newest solar radio from Galcom International is an answer to our prayers. As well as being highly portable and extremely durable, the solar panel on the back means they are easily recharged in the sun, which eliminates the need to buy new batteries. And in response to the high rate of illiteracy, each radio now includes an audio New Testament in Haitian Creole.
These radios will broadcast the life-changing programming of Radio 4VEH for years to come – ensuring daily access to the Gospel, prayer, worship music and a strong Christian community.
